I dyed my hair bright red 8 years ago, and I've sort of not changed it since, I originally had mousey brown hair and I'll fully admit it was Willow from Buffy influenced completely, it was a big change but it seemed to suit me more than my natural colour so I just went with it. i did dye my hair very dark purple once though and that really didn't work, swings both ways! If your husband likes it though then I'm sure it's fab :)
