Dear Yuletide Writer
Dearest Yuletide Writer,
First off, thank you! Thank you so much for writing for me. I'm going to love anything you write, so don't worry about that. :D
Second, feel free to check out my tags, especially my previous Dear Yuletide Writer as they might help you to see what I've requested in the past and my major likes/dislikes. Which I'll go into now!
Likes:
Banter. Oh, I love characters that like to talk, tease and snark and generally connect through words. Fun, snappy dialogue gets me every time.
Happy endings. I'm such a sucker for happy endings and people being content.
Romance. As you might be able to tell from my requests, I'm a big old sap for romance and people figuring themselves out. That being said, by all means go Gen if you want to.
Ladies Being Awesome. I love women being strong and capable and true to themselves.
Dislikes:
Angst. I'm not a big fan of angst for angst's sake. I'd much rather laugh than cry.
Unhappy endings.
Dub-con, rape, incest.
No parodies, please.
No slash, please.
My requests:
The Moon-spinners (1964): Nikki Ferris, Mark Camford
I have loved this movie since I was a little girl and I adored Nikki and all her enthusiasm. I'd love to see more of Nikki and Mark interacting. It could be during the film, post-film, anything! Anything that captures Nikki's curiosity and spirit.
Yep. The Disney film. I know it's cheesy, but it was highly formative for me. I'd just love to see these two on more adventures. Whether it's set during the film or post, in Crete or back home in London. What happens next? Anything!
Lockout (2012): Emily Warnock, Agent Snow
Okay. This is my guilty pleasure film of the year. My personal 'It's so bad, it's good' pick of the year. I would dearly love to see more Emily being awesome and taking charge, with Snow wise-cracking in the background. Did they ever get that ice cream? Did he take her bowling? Anything! I'd just like more of these two interacting and being snarky with each other. Feel free to resolve that UST if you want to.
Yeah, I'm not even sorry about liking this film and I probably should be. Seriously, as long as these two characters are cracking wise, I'll be a very happy bunny.
Jonathan Creek: Maddy Magellan, Jonathan Creek
This show has always been one of my favorites. What I'd dearly love to see is Maddy figuring things out and Jonathan being the perplexed one. Or, if you're into having these two romantically involved (like me!) then perhaps Jonathan is the one in pursuit for a change. Either way, the two of them on the case is always me happy place. Feel free to use the old Trapped in a Close Space trope, I can only imagine the conversations these two could have!
Oh, just have fun with this one! Maybe Maddy tries her hand at some magic of her own. Maybe they go on a road trip. Anything!
