I was a bit surprised by some of the choices, too. As you said, that seemed to be a lot of Austen, and why list The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe separately from The Chronicles of Narnia? And where are the original Iliad and Odyssey?

I was also a tad surprised by how many books were recent Oprah book-club types(The Five People You Meet In Heaven, Life of Pi, The Kite Runner, The Time Traveller’s Wife.) While they may be very good books, I'm not sure they rank up there with the classics just yet.

{shrugs} Those are just my opinions, though, and worth about what you paid to get them! {grin}
