seren_ccdRight. Are y'all tired of these? 'Cause I do realise that I've been a bit Doctor Who-mad the last few weeks.
However, I am going to see Iron Man II this week, so I'll probably have a new obsession and will either flail or be really unhappy about that next. (EEEEE! IRON MAAAAANNNN!)
Anywho! Here is my reaction post for the latest Doctor Who.
Warning: it contains spoilers and a fair amount of squee.
1. "I absolutely trust him." River, ILU. Really. I do. Stay awesome.
2. Amy counting down was freaky. And well done. Holy heck.
3. The angel coming through the airshaft? I jumped. Not gonna lie.
4. Treeborgs! I'm impressed. So is Amy!
5. "I'm five. I mean, five. Fine." Chills people, chills!
6. Ooh, scary crack in the wall!
7. Amy in the forest, very little red riding hood.
8. Oh, Doctor, you can always talk to me. Anytime you like.
9. "Amy, Amy, Amy, what's the matter with Amelia?" Was that an aside? I think he really wants to call her Amelia.
10. Oh, the way he claps his hands on his face. My heart. Then angry!Doctor. Hot.
11. "Respect the thing." Oh, I do.
12. THE scene with the hands and the forehead nuzzling and the whole he's wearing his jacket. Oh, WHAT DOES IT MEAN? Matt Smith, your face is breaking me!
13. Cleric Marco? Is awesome and you know where I've seen him before? Dog Soldiers. Oh, yeah. He was 'Spoon' which just makes him even more awesome. His best line? Come and have a go, if you think you're hard enough! This movie is amazing, cracktastic and gory as all get out. Oh, it also has Kevin McKidd in it. In case you needed more incentive.
14. You guys. What if time could run out?
15. Oh, Marco. I want him to stay and hang out with Amy. I really liked him.
16. Father Octavian. You were really, really cool. I thought he was really well-written.
17. Is it wrong that I really like shouty!Doctor? He gets all kinda thuggish and I have a thing for that, I think.
18. Walk like you can see? Nice. Easy-peasy.
19. Moving angels? Creepifying.
20. Woohoo! River! BAMF!
21. Love that gravity thing. Pretty cool.
22. Fringe! Lovely fringe.
23. River. Stay cool, woman.
24. "I want to go home." Faaaacccee.
25. "Blimey."
26. He taps her ring. Taps it!
27. HE PUCKERS UP AND KISSES HER BACK. I SAW IT. HE PUCKERED UP.
28. The braces. Oh dear Lord, the braces.
29. I adore Karen's little 'oh, Doctor' and I cannot wait for next week! Eeee!
I'd also like mention that it was at this point my husband said, "looks like someone's been reading your fan fiction." *face palm*
30. One last thing. In the Confidential, they show a clip from the filming of that scene, where she put her hand on his thigh. He points at it. See! Link to tumblr image He POINTS!
So, okay, it was fun. I can't believe they went there. It was fairly well-paced, and they've really set up several questions that I want answered. So fun!
But, you know what I really want? Really, really want?
I want a fic with Eleven and Amy in 1960s England, where he's all kind of thuggish and laddish and she's a wise-cracking bartender/waitress. It could be AU, fob-watch, they're stuck in some kind of alien mind-freak, I don't care.
I want him to look like he does in this (violent and gory, Do NOT click if this bothers you! I mean it! It's a deleted scene from In Bruges) clip found on youtube. I want them to meet and flirt and he asks her out. But his version of taking her out is to the pub across the street, but that's cool because they end up making out in the alleyway. Why are they so drawn to each other? And what will it be like when they get back?
Someone write this or so help me God, I'll end up doing it myself.
