So, this week is going to be nuts. I've got a huge work thing this week and weekend which I am not looking forward to. Yuck.

And I've got to write my fairytale_thon story by Saturday. Well, actually Friday. I've got it totally written in my head, it just needs to be transferred from my brain to the screen. I'm kind of chuffed about it, really. Eleven and Amy are just too fun.

So, since tomorrow may be mad, here's some Matt Smith loveliness in case I don't get to post tomorrow.

I got caroled last night! It was lovely. I believe it was Come All Ye Faithful, but sung in Welsh. Thank goodness husband was on the ball and had money ready. I didn't realise people caroled for charities here. The main fellow had a lovely voice and thought whatever it was I was cooking for dinner smelled wonderful. (Kedgeree! And it was pretty good) I've never been caroled before!

I'm almost done with my Yuletide fic. I've gotten over 1000 words, so the minimum has been reached. I was going to do more today, but people, once again, invaded my office. My supervisor is the perfect example of a workaholic. Seriously, the woman doesn't stop and thinks that everyone else thinks about work when they go home.

Trust me. I don't.

I have Hatter/Alice plot bunnies. Well, not so much plot bunnies as 'moment' bunnies: the plot bunny's little, kid sister that's very cute and only a few lines long.

I'm considering baking a pie this weekend. An apple pie. I haven't baked in a very long time and it's such a good recipe and I love pie. A lot.

When will this day end?

I came, I saw, I managed to survive a week of my father. I'm exhausted. Like jet-lag exhausted. And I didn't change timezones once.

North Wales, by the way: Gorgeous. Seriously, Snowdonia is amazingly beautiful. Great local ale. Which helped. A lot.

I am so very, very behind on my writing for NaNo. I know what I'm doing this weekend. And fringedweller, I am betaing now!

So good to be home. Husband will be making dinner this evening, because I can barely string a sentence together, you don't want me near kitchen utensils.

Never Will I Ever Meme: Name a fic you think I will never, ever, ever write. In return, I will attempt to write a snippet of that fic.

Why is it that I'm the default tech person in my office? And actually, here's a question for the true tech people on my flist. If I wanted to really impress someone with my CV/resume, what are some good certifications, diplomas, etc to have in regards to computers? Java, CSS, database knowledge? Things like that.

*** Edited to add: About my NaNo quandry. Does anyone think it's a good idea or even okay, to use the bits of the sequel to my McCoy/Chapel Feeling of Being in Motion Again as the basis for a NaNo? It would mean that I finally get going on it and finish. But, it would also mean that it wouldn't be up for reading until December.
