I rather liked the new Doctor Who episode.

*sighs*

Damn it.

I thought I was OVER YOU, DOCTOR!

Bloody Matt Smith and his ridiculous face.

Why, yes, I'm watching the rugby. That James Hook is kind of dreamy. Plus he still has his neck! Oh, but Scotland just intercepted. Come on, boys!

Anyway!

Eyes are 'three steps worse', so new glasses are in order, but the frames I chose are very cute and that makes me happy.

I found this meme and as I'm going through stuff, it's fairly appropriate.

Post the names of all the files in your WIP folder, regardless of how non-descriptive or ridiculous.

Yellow Card! )

Happy Saturday!

So, clearly I need another fic idea with a crack pairing like I need a hole in my head, HOWEVER:

Molly Hooper (Sherlock BBC) and James Hathaway (Lewis)?

I could totally get behind that... She's had to relocate to Oxford because she didn't want to stay in London any more, totally gets befriended by Dr. Hobson and by extension the DI and his mellow-voiced sergeant. They run into one another at a small concert in the park one night, one thing leads to another...

Hmmm. Well, we'll see once I get the other four stories waiting on my WIP list done.

Is it time to go home yet?

Because I'm a nerd, have a master post of (almost) everything related to Teeth, Claws and Guinness, including the titles of upcoming stories. Yes, I've already got them outlined and poised to be written. I am obsessed and as stated previously, a nerd.

Werewolves, pictsies, love, humour, adventure and a good pint )

Oh, dear.

I've written 2,271 words of a DI Lestrade/Molly Hooper fic for Sherlock.

I'm only halfway through.

Send help.

*facepalm*

So, I was walking back from lunch, letting my mind wander and remembered a picspam [livejournal.com profile] robanybody did a month or so back, which included Michael Fassbender and Karen Gillan.

I've also recently rediscovered my love for Remus Lupin. So, I thought, 'Why hasn't Michael Fassbender played a werewolf? He'd be PERFECT! All angsty and growly and smexy.'

Then I thought, 'And Karen would play this awesome pub owner in this weird, supernatural Welsh village where everyone was just a little off.'

So... Yeah. I have no time really to write this, I'd like to point out, although maybe it could be next year's Nanowrimo.

I did, however, write small snippet.

I have discovered tumblr. I just clicked, 'cause I didn't know what it was.

It's entirely possible that I just spent an HOUR looking at pretty, pretty pictures. ([livejournal.com profile] vega_ofthe_lyre, I am looking at you!)

I now have to see Sherlock Holmes, Inglourious Basterds and Bright Star. They were already on my list, but now they ARE ON MY LIST.

And I still haven't seen the trailer for the next Iron Man movie. I am holding firm on this. (and sitting on my hands)

How is everyone else's Monday?

ETA: Ooooh. I forgot! I've signed up for the Mary/Marshall March Madness going on over at [livejournal.com profile] mary_marshall. I have a few ideas, but nothing super concrete, so send me your plot bunnies or scenarios you'd like to see. I'm totally open to suggestions. As you all know!!!

So, yesterday I finally worked on the first chapter of the Going to Georgia sequel. I only needed to add one last paragraph and then I was going to send it off to the lovely [livejournal.com profile] fringedweller so she can help me curb my run-on sentence fetish.

HOWEVER...

I saved the wrong bloody file to google docs and the file I want is sitting on my home laptop all incomplete and lonely! Because I am a moron. *head desk* And I cannot remember the stuff I added yesterday.

I guess this means I will work on the SGU fic that won't leave me alone. I'm only doing it because the world needs more Robert Carlyle being snarky.

How is everyone else's Monday? Does anyone else think that they really needed more OT3 on Being Human this season? I feel a little let down. There were not enough cups of tea this time around.

Someone needs to talk me out of writing fic for a show I've never even watched one episode of (Stargate Universe) all because I like the idea of Robert Carlyle in space being charmed by a blonde medic.

Seriously, talk me down, folks.

Has anyone actually seen this show? Is it worth a look?

Why, oh why, must I get interested in actors/tv shows/movies that have no fandom whatsoever to speak of? I'm this close to writing fic for movies that probably only two people on earth have seen.

Darn you Robert Carlyle with your charming Glaswegian accent and dodgy career choices!

They haven't gritted the pavements in town yet. I pretty much slid from my house to the bus stop, then from the bus to my office. It's pretty ridiculous.

But, the following is a true conversation I just had with one of the gentlemen we work with. He asked me to send him a list of contacts with their addresses and phone numbers. So, I sent him an Excel spreadsheet.

Then the following conversation occurred:

Gent: Um, I'm looking at the document you sent?
Me: Okay.
Gent: I think you left out some digits from the phone numbers.
Me: Oh, are you sure? I'm looking at it right now and they're all there.
Gent: Well, on mine they stop after the first four digits.
Me: Ah, did you try widening the column?
Gent: ...
Gent: Ohhh, I didn't know you could do that.
Me: *hits head with the keyboard*

And on a completely different subject, what are your favorite phrases you like to say when you're surprised? I'm trying to come up with some for a fic I'm writing. I've pretty much exhausted all the ones I remember from my Southern childhood: Sweet Jesus, Holy crap, etc.

My current fave is 'Holy crap on a cracker' as Penny from the Big Bang Theory says, but I'd love some new ones.

So, favorite expletives! GO!

I'm not going to win NaNo. I'm actually okay with this. My dad's visit, recovering from my dad's visit, work, life, colds, etc, were just too much.

I have however, gotten an extremely good start on what I did want to write, so I should have the first few chapters out soon.

That's actually a good question. Do you prefer the author to have essentially finished the story before they start posting or are you okay with longish delays between chapters?

see my shiny icon? Marshall Mann, my newest obsession. someone needs to save me from myself, but look at how he leans...

Ya'll.

I've discovered In Plain Sight. I would like Marshall Mann to live in my house and talk to me.

About anything.

All day.

That is all.
