I'm not going to win NaNo. I'm actually okay with this. My dad's visit, recovering from my dad's visit, work, life, colds, etc, were just too much.

I have however, gotten an extremely good start on what I did want to write, so I should have the first few chapters out soon.

That's actually a good question. Do you prefer the author to have essentially finished the story before they start posting or are you okay with longish delays between chapters?

see my shiny icon? Marshall Mann, my newest obsession. someone needs to save me from myself, but look at how he leans...

I'm divided - I do tend to prefer a finished fic, and I'm more likely to abandon a WIP. Then again, if I've read the author before and like them, I'll wait for chapters.

I'm prety much the same way. There are a few WIPs I started years ago and the author hasn't even gotten close to finishing.

I think if I can at least manage a chapter a week, that's not too bad.

I started reading a WIP four years ago. There has been one update since then, but I'm still checking for new chapters. Its just that good.

Of course, I'll always prefer new chapters quickly. But I am also willing to wait. So, I just take whatever comes.

:D I agree and word about the 4 year old WIPs. I'm following a few of those.
