Why, oh why, must I get interested in actors/tv shows/movies that have no fandom whatsoever to speak of? I'm this close to writing fic for movies that probably only two people on earth have seen.

Darn you Robert Carlyle with your charming Glaswegian accent and dodgy career choices!

Oh, god, I KNOW!!! My husband was actually humming Christmas carols the other day, and I was beginning to list new fandoms for yuletide before I told him to shush. :D

It's this movie called Marilyn Hotchkiss' Ballroom Dancing and Charm School (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0409034/). There are like, two different trailers out there for it and the movie itself feels like it was mashed together from three different movies. I wonder if the editors had to throw something together and therefore, pieces are missing. It has some really lovely moments and concepts, but it feels really hurried.

However, Robert Carlyle and Marisa Tomei have this lovely, quirky, sweet romance and I want more! I want to fill in some of the missing pieces.

However, I am also hard-pressed to find anything in fandom involving any of Robert Carlyle's characters and it's absurdly frustrating.

The trailer I found looked like it was three different movies so I can't imagine what went on in the film. It does look cute.

He's in Stargate Universe, right, surely there is fic for that? I can't imagine anything satisfying coming out of Trainspotting or that Bond movie about oil. The Full Monty, maybe?

I have no idea what happened during the making of that film. It's kind of all over the place.

And I have scoped out the SG:U offerings and there is some stuff out there. What I've found is pretty good, there just isn't much. *puts writing cap on* I may just have to bite the bullet and write something sometime.

Eee! Don't tell me anything! *covers eyes* I still haven't seen any of it yet! I can't find it anywhere and I have NO money this month to buy off Amazon.

Although, I have seen pics and he and Shirley Henderson are as cute as a basket of kittens! They're both so tiny!
