1. It's entirely possible I started shipping them after your lovely fics! And they just made so much sense! 2. Well, there is the little fact that she's his subordinate... Not to mention all their baggage. I mean, one divorce plus one robot-fiance is pretty tough to get past. 3. They are so stupidcute! They're both brilliant and they love their jobs and they never, ever back down in a conflict. Especially with one another. 4. Well, Christine is fiercely independent, so I could see them taking years before they'd ever actually get together. 5. Ummm, they didn't actually show Chapel in the movie? Or if we're going old-school, I could have done without the mooning over Spock. 6. Chapel/Sulu, Chapel/Kirk, Chapel/Gaila, Chapel/Pike then McCoy/Kirk, McCoy/Uhura, McCoy/Spock, McCoy/Chekov 7. They snark all-day in the sickbay and save lives (the captain's the majority of the time), then their nights are spent rolling about in a very large bed. Still snarking. ♥
