Star Trek Big Bang!

So, I'm going to be posting my Big Bang in a couple of weeks (Thank GOD!) and I have a question for you:

Would you prefer that the posts be one for each chapter (I think there are ten) or just post as much text as I can so that there are fewer posts to click to?

Also, not to self: DO NOT PAINT IN YOUR BEDROOM WHERE YOU INTEND TO SLEEP. Otherwise, you will wake up feeling really, really terrible and completely unable to sleep and will, in fact continue to feel gross while posting this note to self.

For Big Bangs, you absolutely want a post per chapter, with links at the end of each chapter to the next chapter, and a Master Post, with "cover art" and a "table of contents". You might also consider having any endnotes, thank-yous, and so forth in its own appended post, as well. When I wrote "Portamento" I mimicked how I'd seen Supernatural Big Bang fics (because seriously, that was the first fandom where I'd seen a big bang story) posted after spn_j2_bigbang had wrapped.

Mostly, chapter posts FOR SURE.

That's what I was thinking. And I've devised the chapters to truly feel like chapters, so I think it will definitely go that way.

I'll just have to apologize ahead of time to my friends list the day I do it! It'll be such a mess!

To "hide" the posts from your flist, you could "date out of order" on them. The posts won't show up if you do that, but you'll want the Master Post to show up on flists.

It's a double-edged sword - when I did that, my flist didn't see the fic for the most part. On the other hand, well. They didn't see the fic. IDK, it's your call, but frankly if you space out the posts over a couple of hours, it should be ok, haha.

Yikes! But, I remember your fic had some very definite 'moments' that I bet you could separate into chapters... Good Luck!
