where the river runs deep
Oct. 25th, 2010 02:30 pmAre you tired of this yet? 'Cause I've got more castings for the Teeth, Claws and Guinness world.
The village of Cwm Alaw is based on the real town of Llanberis in the Snowdonia mountains in North Wales. I visited it last year around this same time of year. It is at the base of Mt. Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales. It's a beautiful town and is THE place to go for hiking and climbing. I highly recommend visiting if you can. The scenery will take your breath away. It's also a short bus ride from the sea.
See more about the town here and here.
And here are some pictures:

And I'm adding to the Cast List!

Meriel (played by Juliana Margulies)
Gwendi (played by Rachel Weisz), Hannah's aunt by marriage, never really knew her mother. Only that her name was Meriel and she had no last name. She left one night when Gwendi was an infant.

Collen Rees (played by Brendan Coyle)
Her father, Collen Rees, was a local boy and owned the pub, like his father before him and his father before that. While he might have had cause to regret meeting Meriel, he never had cause to regret his daughter Gwendi.
Seriously, someone needs to take the internet away from me. I honestly can't stop with this thing.
