Ice! Ice everywhere!

Dear lord was it fun to get to work today. Ice all over the place and no grit. I slipped way too many times. Once I did a lovely arabesque-like move and was just happy I didn't take a header into the pavement. Grrr.
In other news, I've written 942 words of a very rough beginning for Yuletide, so I'm happy to be making progress.
In other, other news, in my lead up to actually writing an X-Files story, I am doing two things, watching season three in the evenings when I get home and reading fic. Which leads me to a fic rec!
If you like Stephen King's The Stand and you like Mulder/Scully AND you like long fics: Read this!
Last One Standing. It reads like a Stephen King novel and does use characters from The Stand. Mulder and Scully are awesome and make me smile. It's definitely gory and there are some violent scenes (Stephen King, remember?), but it's epic and very engrossing. If you want to be spoiled about who makes it and who doesn't, let me know.
Happy Monday!
