No real surprises there! Strangely enough I don't think I've ever read any of those pairings except Eleven/Amy. For some reason I mostly stuck to gen fic with Doctor Who.

Ah, Nine/Rose were my Original Recipe OTP, too! I looooved them. And similarly could not get behind Ten/Rose, even though they were both lovely. I think there was a lack of conflict there, maybe? Like I LOVED when Nine and Rose would legitimately get upset and frustrated with each other (and, come to think of it, I feel the same way about 11/Amy.) You knew they cared about each other, but that didn't mean there wasn't a push/pull thing happening (and, again, very similar to 11/Amy.) Ten/Rose were almost TOO happy/fluffy/BFF-y/whatever. YMMV, obviously. :)

I ADORE Nine/Rose and you're quite right: there are some distinct similarities with them and Eleven/Amy. Nine and Rose just got so much from each other, they learned so much and brought out the best in each other.

Nine and Rose were really my favourites too, there was just so much chemistry between them and undercurrents of longing on both parts, where as Ten and Rose were great fun together but it was a bit too right.

I've never actually read a Buffy fanfic...I seriously need to get onto that!

I'm currently trying to get my husband to watch all 7 series of Buffy with me, after 6 years we are only up to season 3! One thing I have noticed though, when I was younger and they were first on I was totally into Xander, probably because I saw a lot of myself in him, but now it's all about Giles. Yes please :)
