If you're looking for a show that passes the Bechdel Test with flying colours AND does all the extra credit: Check out Call the Midwife! I've been marathoning it all weekend.

It's a bit twee and sentimental at times, but it relishes female friendships and female family and is terribly fun. Miranda Hart plays the loveliest character and I just want to hug her.

Not to mention the costumes! :D

One of my FAVORITE shows, and the thing I loved most (OTHER THAN CHUMMY GAAAH WANT TO BE HER BESTIE) is how genuine and sweet and supportive the women are to one another. It's just so refreshing and lovely.
