Yuletide Letter 2018

Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for writing something for me! I promise you that I will enjoy it! The one thing I really want you to do is to have fun and enjoy yourself. I am pretty firm on my dislikes, but as for the actual story, go for it. If there's something you've been wanting to write with these characters that I don't mention here, go for it! That being said, here are some of the things I like and dislike as well as my story ideas.
Likes:
Banter. Oh, I love characters that like to talk, tease and snark and generally connect through words. Fun, snappy dialogue gets me every time.
Happy endings. I'm such a sucker for happy endings and people being content.
Romance. As you might be able to tell from my requests, I'm a big old sap for romance and people figuring themselves out. That being said, by all means go Gen if you want to.
Ladies Being Awesome. I love women being strong and capable and true to themselves.
Dislikes:
Angst. I'm not a big fan of angst for angst's sake. I'd much rather laugh than cry.
Unhappy endings.
No dub-con, rape, incest.
No parodies, please.
AUs I like: Westerns, soulmarks, apocafic, and whodunit's
Request 1: Aliens (1986) -Dwayne Hicks (Aliens (1986)), Ellen Ripley (Aliens (1986))
I would love to see what happened next because in my world, Aliens 3 does not exist! Where did they end up after they blew up the planet?
Alternatively, I'd love to see a missing scene set during the film. Perhaps right after Hicks saves Ripley and Newt from the facehuggers. Or anything you think of! Just enjoy!
I'd love romance or friendship.
Request 2: Speed (1994) - Jack Traven. Annie Porter
I would love to see these two on a date. Or grocery shopping. I'd honestly love to see them in a mundane setting, after everything they went through and perhaps struggling with it a little.
Alternatively, I'd honestly just love to see more with these two set after the film. Romance preferred, but friendship is lovely, too.
Request 3: An Inquiry into Love and Death - Simone St. James - Drew Merriken. Jillian Leigh
This was my absolute favourite of Simone St James' novels. I loved the chemistry between Drew and Jillian, how they were actually quite equal in so many ways. I would love to see Drew and Jillian facing another ghost or just meeting up in Cambridge or London during their courtship after the events of the novel. Honestly, I'd just love to see more of these two in any situation.
Request 4: The Moon-Spinners - Mary Stewart - Nicola (Moon-Spinners - Stewart,) Mark (Moon-Spinners - Stewart), Lambis (Moon-Spinners - Stewart), Frances Schofield (Moon-Spinners - Stewart)
I loved this book (and the film!) so I'd just love to see more of these characters after the events of the novel or perhaps even during the film. I'd love to see Nicola coming to terms with the fact that she's fallen very hard and fast for Mark. Or alternatively, see Mark and how much he adores Nicola.
Honestly, anything with these characters would be wonderful!
