Christine had never actually believed the veracity of most of the lines she'd written. 'Her orgasm washed over her like a tidal wave' or 'his kisses set her body aflame'. But, as Len kissed down the side of her neck and cupped her breast, she congratulated herself on actually getting some of those phrases right.

*Basically, they have lots and lots of sex and while on another shore leave, have to team up with Scotty and Gaila to rescue Kirk and Spock. :D

When Christine woke up, the first that struck her was the absence of the need to fuck. The other thing was that she was unbelievably sore and could barely move her limbs.

She turned her head to the side and saw Len staring back at her with a mixture of guilt, apology and, oh god, love in his eyes.

She stretched out her hand and touched his face and smiled. As he sighed, she closed her eyes and went back to sleep.

Janice looked down at her plate and bit her lip. Then she looked back up to look at her dinner partner.

"This should feel weird," she said leaning forward. "I mean, I'm sitting here about to have sea bass and I'm wearing my red underwear and this is a date. We are on a date. Therefore this should be weird. Why doesn't it feel weird?"

Jim smiled. "Because it's us. It's you and me and... Seriously, red underwear? We can get this to go, you know?"

OMG, her telling him she has red underwear on and NOT letting him see it! I LOVE THIS. Just the idea of them kind of trying to figure the dating thing out and NOT having sex because it kindameanssomething and still being themselves and having frank talks about sex anyway and being completely confused as to how to have a 'normal' relationship when they totally can't because they're them. And that's kind of fine because they're them. SO MUCH LOVE.

Yes, because they want to be adult and have a 'relationship', but she can't help going over his messages during the appetizers and rearranging his to do list and he just wants to look at her.

When EVER I see "Janice Rand" and "to-do list" in the same paragraph, I flash back to this:

“She prefers “personal assistant”,” said Kirk knowledgably. “I learned that the hard way. To-do list stapled to my forehead.”

“What did it say?” asked Scotty.

“’Learn to call me an assistant’. She has beautiful penmanship.”

fringedweller is responsible for much in this universe, but this is one of my favorite.

AND HE DOES. Because when Kirk actually emotionally commits to someone/something, it isn't just epic, it's FRIGGIN EPIC. I've always taken him as one of those hero-types that would totally be fine with rolling a rock up a hill for eternity and/or getting his liver eaten out every day if it meant something to someone he cared about/was loyal to. And, man. THEY ARE KIND OF AWESOME AND ADORABLE AND EPIC, EEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.
