Day 02 → Your favourite movie

Very tough. I have various movies that suit the kind of mood I'm in, The Mummy - for comfort, Dark City - for fun sci-fi, Labyrinth - for a David Bowie fix, Clue - for 'flames on the side of my face', French Kiss - for Kevin Kline and Paris, the list goes on.

I could go serious and talk about films I think are important and are just extremely well-made (anything by Stanley Kubrick, Orson Wells' The Third Man, Blade Runner, etc).

So, I think I'm going to go with a movie that always, always makes me laugh. The actors are obviously having a ball and play so, so well off each other. I honestly think half the movie is ad-libbed.



I give you: Soapdish.

Oh, he's fantastic in this. And everyone is in it. Just hilarious. It came out when daytime soap operas were in their hey-day. I used to watch them myself during the summer vacation. So the film hits a lot of fun buttons.

Oh, god this movie. See, I grew up watching these daytime soaps. It was family thing. My grandma watched, my mom, my cousins... And the actors in this film are just amazing. They do not make them like this anymore. Seriously.
