Jan. 21st, 2015 05:35 pmWhat I'm up to Wednesdays!
Let's see if having a specific posting day with specific updates helps me stay in touch!
What I'm up to:
I went to London on the weekend to see my sis-in-law who is pregnant! Yay! I cannot WAIT to be an auntie. This kid is going to have their reading lists SET by the time they appear. ;D Le husband will handle all the fun science experiments.
But we went to the Southbank and wandered around the Tate Modern. They had a really fun textile exhibit and I really enjoyed it. Some really cool paintings that incorporated twine and ribbons actually woven into the canvas.
Then we headed to a restaurant and le husband and sis-in-law had massive plates of ribs. I had fish as I'm not a ribs person. We then had peanut butter and jelly cheesecake and oh. my. god. This was the BEST cheesecake I have ever had. I'm not kidding. It was light and sweet and arhmmkhjhdas. *Homer Simpson impression* All in all a good day out.
Work-wise - They've ordered MS Project Professional for me, so I get to learn how to use that soon!
What I'm reading:
Just finished: The Checklist Manifesto by Atul Gawande (my write-up is on
l0ve0freading) and Whispers Underground and Broken Homes by Ben Aaronovitch (yes, I know, I devoured them, they're so good).
In the midst of: Bicycle Diaries by David Byrne (the Talking Heads guy) and Say Yes to the Marquess by Tessa Dare. I'm loving both of them!
What I'm writing:
Here is the very latest section I've written for The Ghost and the Ghost Writer. I'm experimenting with POV and trying out first person and to be honest, I've rejigged the whole thing and I've started over (almost) completely.
( Sleeping arrangements )
Happy Wednesday! ♥
