Two things Seren has totally caved on:

1. I now have a tumblr: seren-pen I have no art skills to speak of, so this will primarily consist of me re-blogging other's pretty things. Please tell me if you're over there and I will follow you!

2. I just signed up to xf_santa. Because I'm watching early Moose and Squirrel and I MISS THEM SO. And because wendelah1 said it would be fun.

In other news I tried, once again, to watch Aliens 3. And failed. It's truly amazing how it only takes thirty minutes for that film to hit every single one of my 'If you put this in your movie, I will immediately stop watching it' buttons. Never again. As far as I'm concerned, that series ended after Aliens 2.

Anyway:

I'm really nervous about the xf stuff. I've never written for that fandom, primarily because the stuff I've read is so very, very good. I'm a little intimidated. But! It's such a good challenge and my husband keeps asking me why I haven't written for it. He's all 'You've already done Doctor Who and Star Trek, the X-Files just rounds out the geek.'

And tell me about overcommitted. I haven't even begun the actual gift-shopping yet. I'm thinking baked goods.

you really don't. You hit the follow, then tumblr will post on my dashboard that you followed me. Most users can also accept messages (usually under "ask" or something like that) and you can send them a note that way. ;)

Ugh, Alien 3. What a complete waste of an amazing cast to make that awful, dank, depressing movie. I still have not finished watching it, although I do like #4 just for Ron Perlman being amazeballs.

Oh, god, Michael Biehn should be in everything forever. I so wanted him to survive the Abyss and become one with the aliens and go off and be calm and awesome. Cameron is such a sadist.

He totally lives! He and Ripley adopt Newt and then battle aliens all over the 'verse while having hot, hot sexin's.
