Fics I've never written
Sep. 8th, 2009 07:15 pmOoh, awesome meme borrowed from
vega_ofthe_lyre.
Give me the title of a story I've never written, and feedback telling me what you liked best about it, and I will tell you any (or all) of: the first sentence, the last sentence, the thing that made me want to write it, the biggest problem I had while writing it, why it almost never got posted, the scene that hit the cutting room floor but that I wish I'd been able to salvage, or something else that I want readers to know.
Feel free to try any fandom you have reason to think I know, but if I don't at all know the fandom I'll have to say so.

Date: 2009-09-08 08:38 pm (UTC)It was at 11:42 am on a Thursday in the middle of a debate with Steve over the finer points of choosing the correct metal alloy that Tony realized that he was in love with his PA.
Last line:
She handed his coffee to him and he, very carefully, did not let his fingers brush against hers.
Thanks so much! It was difficult, because I wanted to show how much they really do love each other, even though they'll never act on their feelings. He's too damaged and will always think she needs more than he's capable of giving. Which is very hard to write, because I really wanted to give them a happy ending or at the very least some awesome workshop sexin'. ;) Maybe next time!
Hell's bells. I'm going to have to write this now. Damnit.

Bones gaped like a fish before he found his voice. "You've got to be kidding me!"
One raised eyebrow was all Christine would allow herself, even if it did make her look like Spock. {giggling madly}
And Gaila...and Kirk...and green goo!!! {laughing hysterically}
You rock, you know that?!

Date: 2009-09-09 08:28 am (UTC)"Damn it, Jim! This had better not be one of your kinky sex things!" Bones said as the captain and Gaila stood in the middle of Engineering with green slime running over their bodies.
"Hey!" Jim said putting his hands on his hips. "I resent that. Like I need any kind of artificial stimulants to get the job done."
"He really doesn't," Gaila added.
Last Line:
Chapel leaned over and gently pressed a kiss against his cheek. She pulled back and McCoy involuntarily leaned towards her. She smiled.
"Because, no one else will, that's why," she said. She patted his chest and walked out of the office.
McCoy dropped down into his chair and propped his feet up on his desk. Then he grinned.
All in all, not a bad day.
Thank you so much! I was really hesitant to post something quite this cracky and slapstick. It's not really my thing. But Jim gave me his puppy dog eyes and I couldn't resist. There was this one scene with Spock and Uhura that involved a Slinky, but I just couldn't make it work.
damn it, not another one I've got to write! *grins*
