I'm stuck.

I've got Word open to Chapter Four of my McCoy/Chapel and I'm having writing pains. I know what I need to write, but it's just NOT coming out.

Give me prompts, people! Any fandom, new, old, crossover. Honestly, scour my tags and it is all free game. ANYTHING!

Hit me, baby!

I love writing tips. I love Elmore Leonard, Neil Gaiman, Philip Pullman and Jeanette Winterson.

Therefore, THIS is pretty awesome.

My Personal Faves:

My most important rule is one that sums up the 10: if it sounds like writing, I rewrite it.

Do not place a photograph of your ­favourite author on your desk, especially if the author is one of the famous ones who committed suicide.

Try to be accurate about stuff.

Write.

Write a book you'd like to read. If you wouldn't read it, why would anybody else? Don't write for a perceived audience or market. It may well have vanished by the time your book's ready.

Never stop when you are stuck. You may not be able to solve the problem, but turn aside and write something else. Do not stop altogether.

So, yesterday I finally worked on the first chapter of the Going to Georgia sequel. I only needed to add one last paragraph and then I was going to send it off to the lovely fringedweller so she can help me curb my run-on sentence fetish.

HOWEVER...

I saved the wrong bloody file to google docs and the file I want is sitting on my home laptop all incomplete and lonely! Because I am a moron. *head desk* And I cannot remember the stuff I added yesterday.

I guess this means I will work on the SGU fic that won't leave me alone. I'm only doing it because the world needs more Robert Carlyle being snarky.

How is everyone else's Monday? Does anyone else think that they really needed more OT3 on Being Human this season? I feel a little let down. There were not enough cups of tea this time around.

I used to have the entire first season of the X-Files that I personally taped off of tv. However, someone (MOM!) taped over them.

That's all I can think of. And of course, the sad thing is that these are scattered over at least three houses and two continents.

Now, back to two stories that are kicking my arse. I will finish one of them! I'm just not sure which one.

Someone needs to talk me out of writing fic for a show I've never even watched one episode of (Stargate Universe) all because I like the idea of Robert Carlyle in space being charmed by a blonde medic.

Seriously, talk me down, folks.

Has anyone actually seen this show? Is it worth a look?

I've got to bed now and will attack the last crossover challenge in the morning, I promise. :D I've been snickering all night and my husband thinks I've finally lost it. We all knew it was just a matter of time.

I'm at work. bleh. We completely rearranged the office yesterday, which is awesome. My computer screen is no longer visable to the entire room and I can see people now. The old position had my back to everyone and it really bothered me.
