This is my to-do list for the next week or so. I'm jotting it down here just so that I have it down somewhere.

+ Write Heroine Big Bang - 10,000 words of Evelyn Carnahan-O'Connell realizing that life isn't quite like it is in the books.

+ Write third (and FINAL) story in Karen Page/Frank Castle series that fell on my head like an ACME anvil. I'm like Wile Coyote here, I can't even...

+ Write next chapter of From Dusk till Dawn aka Kisa and Kate Save the World.

+ Write up Karen/Frank fic recs for het_reccers. See: ANVIL.

+ Buy some new shoes because my feet hurt in the ones that I currently have.

+ Get a massage because lab work is killing my back.

+ Write original stuff. (At least a paragraph on each)

+ Buy a light spring jacket.

+ Contemplate participating in this year's Het Big Bang (if so, Karen/Frank is a big contender, but I want to do an AU).

+ Take this Friday afternoon off to go shopping and read the new Simone St James novel.

I think that's everything? Oh, one more.

+ Laundry.

That's it. *collapses* How is it only Wednesday?

Hi! Wow! Things!

1. New job. Very excited. I’m still sad that I can’t stay where I am, but this is a really good move for me professionally. Apparently there will be a grand booze-up for me when I go; which sounds delightful!

2. I’m actually wearing a dress today. I hardly ever wear dresses but the weather is so nice, I just went for it. I’ve been told to wear this color (light blue) more often. :D

3. Every time I see someone on Tumblr saying that they have to wait soooo long for the next Game of Thrones novel or the next season of Sherlock, I’m very sympathetic.

Then I remember that I’ve been waiting since 1997 for the third novel in a trilogy to come out and my eye starts to twitch. 1997. Who the heck was Collan Rosvenir already? *whimpers*

Annnd, that’s all I got! Imma go make some foods and get caught up on The Glades. ♥

FRIDAY!

I am SO ready for this week to be over. I'm moving OUT tomorrow! Yay! Finally. Of course, I'm moving in with my in-laws, but I adore them and it means I might actually get internet access in the evenings.

I'm still puttering around with the Teeth, Claws and Guinness world. I've been writing bits and pieces all week. I've got more people to add to the cast list!

Happy Friday, everyone!

Well. First things first, anyone planning on going to Scandinavia, make sure you have more money than I do. Wow, things are expensive. Five quid for a pint of Carlsberg. Seriously.

Other than that, it is absolutely gorgeous. The Finnish and Swedish archipelago is the most incredible landscape I've ever seen. I want to line on one of the little islands with a lighthouse and fir trees. So, so beautiful. We swam, cycled, canoed. I'm almost tan! The amount of sun I got will last me for at least a good month.

These are some of the odd little things I noted down that happened:

1. On a bus in Finland, the driver was listening to Kraftwerk. It was awesome.
2. We watched Hair late one night in our hostel. Let the sun shine!!
3. I was lectured to by an old Swedish man about the treatment of Native Americans at the hands of the white men. That was a little weird.

The wedding we went to was so lovely. It was held in a tiny Swedish church with amazing paintings depicting Bible stories on the ceiling. We attempted to sing along in Swedish to one of the hymns.

I now have a stack of work on my desk and have the next story in my McCoy/Chapel series plotted out. I need another vacation!

Okay. It was a bad week. Work was stressful and annoying. And the little five year old voice in my head that was saying 'Please, please can we write fic now? Please, please, please?' I had to keep saying 'No! Mommy has to work now and pay bills.' (Yeah, let's not look into my subconscious too closely.

But the following conversation I had on the phone with someone this week wins the WTF?! award. Some background info: My non-profit is currently organising an exhibition for sustainability, so I've been in marketing mode for awhile. And, I'm an American currently living in Wales.

Me: Hello, xxxx company. How can I help you?
English Guy: Yeah, hi. I was driving and saw one of your signs for your exhibition.
Me: Yes?
EG: Well, it was very badly placed. I had to park my car and walk 20 yards to look at it when it could have been put closer to the roundabout and there's no information on the sign at all. It just says the name of the show, the date and the town name. It was terribly, terribly inconvenient.
Me: Well, I'm very, very sorry. I'll have a talk with the people who placed the sign.
EG: I'm coming to the show, but it's certainly no thanks to anything you've done.
Me: Again, I'm very sorry. Can I give you our website address?
EG: I just have no idea where xx city is. No one has ever heard of it.
Me: Well, actually it's the town where the national agricultural show has been taking place for several years. It's in Wales.
EG: Well, I've never heard of it. No one in my office has ever heard of it and what an American is doing living in Wales, I just don't understand.
Me: *bzuh?*

The guy wins the award not only for his WTF-ery but also for the most bizarre non-sequitor I've ever heard.

I'm going to bed.

PS. I'm currently seeing Naomi Watts as Nurse Chapel. See my icon? She's even in scrubs!
